Sorry! Just saw that you are in San Diego!! oops. :)

Yeah! I sure feel like a Kiwi! I'm more sad about leaving here than I was about leaving the US!! Anyway... I came here to work with a group called Marine Reach, which is the ship arm of Youth With a Mission (YWAM). Don't know if you've heard of it or not, but I run a discipleship training school here, and have done that for the last 11 years. I really feel that it's time to go though, and this whole area of kids in the sex industry has grabbed my heart in a big way! I was just in Thailand and Cambodia, and it's just horrific what is going on around the world with these poor kids. So my friend and I are going to a training school next year specifically designed to address working with children at risk. It's a 9 months program, and we'll be spending 6 months of it in Rwanda! We're hoping after that to move to Capetown, SA to start working in this area. Soccer's World Cup will be there that same year, and apparently girls are already being trafficked in to be there for the games. So that's me, and what I'll be doing for the next however long!

Hey Reena! I'm actually an American living in NZ! haha Sorry to get your hopes up! However, I am about as much Kiwi as a foreigner can get - at least in my heart! I love it here, and was so excited to get my PR!! Sadly though, I am leaving this beautiful land soon - headed to Africa to begin working with kids trafficked for sex there. I'm really excited about what's ahead, but yeah... this is a hard place to leave! There isn't a ton going on here about this whole area either... some, just not a lot that I've seen or heard about anyway.
